Subject: GDOT Open House on I-185 Sound Barriers
The Georgia Department of Transportation will hold an Open House Public Meeting
on January 25, at the St. Mary's Road Magnet Academy, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
The purpose of the meeting will be to present proposals for the construction
and location of sound barrier walls as they pertain to the widening of I-185
from St. Mary's Road to Victory Drive. At the request of the Planning
Department, this meeting will be held so that citizens along this roadway can
see first hand where the proposed locations for these walls. Attached is an
aerial showing the proposed locations. Unfortunately the detail on the map is
hard to read. We will print out a larger copy that will be on display at the
next Council meeting.
