Subject: Temporary Closure of Riverwalk
A portion of the Riverwalk will be closed from the North Highland Pavillion
extending South approximately 2,300 ft. effective December 10, 2012. The
closure is due to construction activities by Georgia Power below the North
Highland Dam and for other construction activities related to development of
the Whitewater venue. The closure will remain in effect until Summer 2013.
Attached is a map of the planned detour route that will provide continued
public access to the Riverwalk via the South Gordon Blvd. access point. This
information will be communicated to the public through a press release,
advertisement in the newspapers, and on CCGTV.
