Subject: Summary of \n \n Visioning Workshops
Attached is a summary of the 2028 Comprehensive Plan Visioning Workshops. The
six public workshops were held in January and February of this year to solicit
input from the public concerning the future of our community. The report
provides an overview of the public comments received, along with a breakout by
each of the proposed planning districts.
Two public strategic workshops were held in March to encourage citizens to help
formulate goals and objectives based upon the information received at the
Visioning workshops. From these meetings, the consultants will begin the
process of developing a draft of the actual plan. The draft plan is now
targeted for late June to be presented back to the public for their comments.
Upon the completion of these public meetings, the final draft will be presented
to the Council in late July or early August to request permission to submit the
document to the Georgia Department of Community Affairs.
