The Month of June 2011 has been designated by the Department of Housing and
Urban Development (HUD) as National Homeownership Month. The City will
participate by conducting a Public Forum at the Columbus Library on June 22, 5
- 7 P.M. The program will provide the public the opportunity to obtain
information on the City's program that assist potential homeowners as well as
obtain information from credit counseling organizations and mortgage lenders.
Also, the City will work with Neighborworks Columbus to hold an Open House.
The purpose of the Open House will be to feature the NSP (Neighborhood
Stabilization Program) properties that are for sale. These properties were
foreclosed properties that have been purchased and completely rehabilitated and
are now available to qualified individuals to purchase. The properties that
are currently listed and available may be viewed on the City's website
