TO THE CITY MANAGER:
VEHICLE REPLACEMENT PLAN:
Have the Administration to check to see if we have previously discussed
putting money aside for vehicle replacement, because there was to be some kind
of plan put in place. (Request of Councilor Woodson)
*** *** ***
TAKE HOME CAR PLAN:
Have the staff to check to see if there are any additional of those
sixteen take home cars that could be pooled for those employees that are
on-call after business hours. (Request of Councilor Allen) Also, check to see
if the take home cars are actually being utilized to serve the city after
business hours other than just driven back and forth to work. (Request of
Councilor Allen)
Let?s establish a written policy regarding what employee would receive a
take home car, what position would be eligible for a car, what criteria
determines the employee that would be provided with a car, how do we decide
that it is more economical for us to provide an employee with a car rather than
to pay them .55 a mile. Public Safety could be included as well. (Request of
Councilor Thomas)
Get with Human Resources Director Tom Barron, because there may not be a
comprehensive take home car policy, but there are by job descriptions,
employees that are entitled to a vehicle or car allowance. Let?s also include
those job descriptions to allow the Council to determine if that should be
included for that employee?s position. (Request of Mayor Tomlinson)
Let?s check to see if this is a project that the new CitiServ Group could
look into with regards to the take home car policy. (Request of Councilor
Woodson)
COST OF LIVING ADJUSTMENT:
Have the staff provide the annual cost for the cost of living adjustments
for City employees, as well as, the retirees. (Request of Councilor Allen)
