An Ordinance amending the Zoning Atlas of the Consolidated Government of
Columbus, Georgia; this amendment changes certain boundaries of a district
located at 6003 Veterans Parkway from GC (General Commercial) Zoning District
to RO (Residential-Office) Zoning District.
THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY ORDAINS:
That the Zoning Atlas on file with the Planning Department be, and the same is
hereby amended by changing the aforementioned property of the following
described property from GC (General Commercial) Zoning District to RO
(Residential-Office) Zoning District:
All that lot, tract and parcel of land situate, lying and being in Land Lots 44
& 57, 8th District, Columbus, Muscogee County, Georgia, being more particularly
described as follows:
BEGINNING at an iron stake located at the intersection of the eastern margin of
the right of way of Interstate 185 and the southern land lot line of land Lot
57; thence run North 53 degrees 50 minutes 32 seconds East a distance of 242.09
feet to an iron stake; thence run North 27 degrees 52 minutes 43 seconds West a
distance of 165 feet to an iron stake; thence run North 00 degrees 12 minutes
23 seconds West a distance of 116.77 feet to an iron stake; thence run South 89
degrees 47 minutes 37 seconds West a distance of 113.20 feet to an iron stake
on the eastern margin of the right of way of Interstate 185; thence run along
said eastern margin of I?185 North 00 degrees 12 minutes 23 seconds West a
distance of 200.82 feet to a concrete monument; thence run North 87 degrees 20
minutes 20 seconds East a distance of 10.08 feet to a concrete monument; thence
run North 02 degrees 50 minutes 00 seconds East a distance of 47.15 feet to an
iron stake; thence run North 88 degrees 44 minutes 56 seconds East a distance
of 994.29 feet to an iron stake located on the northwestern margin of the right
of way of Veterans Parkway; thence run along said northwestern margin of
Veterans Parkway along the arc of a curve to the right having a radius of
1849.82, being subtended by a chord bearing South 29 degrees 08 minutes 06
seconds West a chord length of 629.67 feet, an arc distance of 632.75 feet to a
concrete monument; thence continue along said right of way South 39 degrees 06
minutes 33 seconds West a distance 127.01 feet to an iron stake; thence run
South 87 degrees 34 minutes 06 seconds West a distance of 624.34 feet to an
iron stake being the POINT OF BEGINNING.
