SUBJECT: Street Acceptance - Palazzo Place, Promenade Place, Patina

Place and that portion of Oriana Drive located in The Promenades



INITIATED BY: Engineering Department







Recommendation: Approval is requested for the acceptance of a deed to Palazzo

Place, Promenade Place, Patina Place and that portion of Oriana Drive located

in The Promenades.



Background: Palazzo Place, Promenade Place, Patina Place and that portion of

Oriana Drive located in The Promenades has sixty (60) residential lots. The

streets have been improved and have met the specifications for acceptance by

the City.



Analysis: A deed has been conveyed to the City conveying Palazzo Place,

Promenade Place, Patina Place and that portion of Oriana Drive located in The

Promenades. A description of the property is as follows: All those tracts and

parcels of land situate, lying and being in Columbus, Muscogee County, Georgia,

being known and designated as all Palazzo Place, Promenade Place, Patina Place

and that portion of Oriana Drive as said streets are shown on a survey entitled

"Final plat of the Promenades, Part of Land Lot 266, 19th District, Columbus,

Muscogee County, Georgia" prepared by Becker Survey company under date of

January 6, 2012 and recorded in Plat Book 163 pages 148 and 149 in the office

of the Clerk of the Superior Court of Muscogee County, Georgia to which

reference is made for a more particular description of said streets.



Financial Considerations: No City funds are involved until maintenance is

assumed after the two-year warranty.



Projected Annual Fiscal Impact Statement: No City funds are involved until

maintenance is assumed after the two-year warranty.



Legal Considerations: In Accordance with Section 18-3 of the Columbus Code,

all dedicated right-of-way must be accepted by Council.



Recommendations/ Actions: Approve the resolution accepting a deed to Palazzo

Place, Promenade Place, Patina Place and that portion of Oriana Drive located

in The Promenades













A RESOLUTION

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A DEED TO PALAZZO PLACE, PROMENADE

PLACE, PATINA PLACE AND THAT PORTION OF ORIANA DRIVE LOCATED IN THE PROMENADES

ON BEHALF OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA.

WHEREAS, Columbus, Georgia has been submitted a deed conveying Palazzo Place,

Promenade Place, Patina Place and that portion of Oriana Drive located in the

Promenades, a full description of property on said deed; and,

WHEREAS, said streets have been improved and meets the required specifications

for acceptance by the City; and,

WHEREAS, the Engineering Department inspected said streets and recommends

acceptance of same.

NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:

That certain deed dated February 2, 2012, conveying to Columbus,

Georgia Palazzo Place, Promenade Place, Patina Place and that portion of Oriana

Drive located in the Promenades, be and the same is hereby accepted. The Clerk

of Council is hereby authorized to have said deed recorded in the Deed Records

in the Office of the Clerk of Superior Court of Muscogee County, Georgia. A

copy of deed is hereto attached and by this reference made a part of this

resolution.
