SUBJECT: Donation by Northern Little League
INITIATED BY: Department of Parks and Recreation
Recommendation: Approval is requested to accept a donation of bleacher covers
at the cost of $23,000.00 from Northern Little League to be used exclusively
at Psalmond Road Park fields.
Background: Northern Little League has requested to make a donation to the
Parks and Recreation Department of bleacher covers for Psalmond Road Park
fields.
Analysis: Northern Little League has expressed a desire to donate these covers
to Parks and Recreation to help in the maintenance and upkeep of the bleachers
at Psalmond Road Park fields.
Financial Considerations: This will be at no cost to the City as it is a
private donation.
Legal Considerations: Council must approve the acceptance of this donation.
Recommended /Actions: Approve the donation of bleacher covers from Northern
Little League to be used at Psalmond Road Park fields.
A RESOLUTION

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO APPROVE AND ACCEPT THE DONATION OF
BLEACHER COVERS FOR EXCLUSIVE USE AT PSALMOND ROAD PARK FIELDS.
WHEREAS, Northern Little League desires to donate bleacher covers at a cost of
$23,000.00 for exclusive use at Psalmond Road Park fields; and,
WHEREAS, the bleacher covers will be used for the maintenance and upkeep of
bleachers; and,
WHEREAS, Northern Little League will donate these covers and will be of no cost
to the City.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
That the City Manager or his designee is hereby authorized to accept the
donation of bleacher covers to be used at Psalmond Road Park fields.
