Subject: (REZN-01-19-0155) Request to amend the text of the Unified Development

Ordinance (UDO) in regards to Table 3.1.1. ? Microbreweries & Microdistilleries

and Chapter 13 Definitions to read as follows:

1. Explanation of Revisions: Amend Table 3.1.1. by permitting Microbrewery and

Microdistillery in the following districts:

CHAPTER 13



Microbrewery means an establishment in which not more than 10,000 barrels of

beer or malt beverages are manufactured or brewed on the licensed premises in a

calendar year and in which such manufactured or brewed beer or malt beverages

may be sold for consumption on the premises and consumption off premises,

subject to the limitations prescribed in O.C.G.A. ? 3-5-24.1. As used in this

definition, the term "barrel" shall be defined as set forth in O.C.G.A. ? 3-5-1.

Microdistillery means an establishment in which not more than 10,000 barrels of

distilled spirits are manufactured on the licensed premises in a calendar year

and in which such manufactured distilled spirits may be sold for consumption on

the premises and consumption off premises, subject to the limitations

prescribed in O.C.G.A. ? 3-5-24.2. As used in this definition, the term

"barrel" shall be defined as set forth in O.C.G.A. ? 3-4-1.



Recommendations:



The Planning Advisory Commission (PAC) considered this text amendment at their

meeting on February 20, 2019. By a vote of 8-0, the PAC recommended approval.



The Planning Department recommends approval.
