(1) 1st Reading - Rezoning property located at 720 Brown Avenue & 2108 Amos

Street is proposed for rezoning from RMF1 (Residential Multi-Family 1) District

to RO (Residential-Office) District. (18-A-06-Brown) (Councilor McDaniel) (The

Planning Advisory Commission and the Planning Division recommend approval.)

(2) 1st Reading - Rezoning property located at 5004 Warm Springs Road is

proposed for rezoning from SFR1 (Single Family Residential 1) District to NC

(Neighborhood Commercial) District. (23-A-06-Erickson) (Councilor McDaniel)

(The Planning Advisory Commission and the Planning Division recommend approval

(3) 1st Reading - Rezoning property located at 5446 Armour Road is proposed for

rezoning from GC (General Commercial) District with conditions to GC (General

Commercial) District with amended conditions. (24-CA-06-GLH Development, Inc.)

Division recommend conditional approval.)



(4) 1st Reading - Rezoning property located on Highway 80 East, east of Pratt

Whitney and west of PCI, is proposed for rezoning from RE1 (Residential-Estate

1) District to SFR3 (Single Family Residential 3) District. (25-CA-06-Thayer)

(Councilor Allen) (The Planning Advisory Commission recommend approval and the

Planning Division recommend conditional approval.)



(5) 1st Reading ? An ordinance regulating the vehicular traffic in Columbus,

Georgia by establishing a No Parking Zone along the street segment designated

herewith in, said street being within the central business district;

authorizing the installation of official traffic control signs indicating said

restrictions; repealing conflicting ordinances and for other purposes.

(7) Commending and congratulating Sgt. 1st Class John Sheaffer and Spc. Mikhail

Venikov upon winning the 23rd David E. Grange Best Ranger Competition held at

Ft. Benning, Georgia. (Councilor Davis)



(8) Commending and congratulating Lt. Mark D. Starling of the Columbus Police

Department upon receiving the Purple Heart Award at a ceremony held at the

Public Safety Complex on May 3, 2006. (Mayor Poydasheff)



(9) Commending and congratulating Columbus Police Officer Christopher J.

Anderson upon receiving the Lifesaving Award at a ceremony held at the Public

Safety Complex on May 3, 2006. (Mayor Poydasheff)



(10) Commending and congratulating Columbus High School Lady Blue Devils golf

team upon winning their seventh state title in the last eight years.

(11) Commending and congratulating the Georgia Humanities Council upon

recognizing several Columbus students as winners in its National History Day

(12) Commending and congratulation the Columbus Consolidated Government upon
