A RESOLUTION
No.
WHEREAS, the Columbus State University Men?s Basketball team recently defeated
Auburn University by a score of 54 to 52;
WHEREAS, the Cougars played the exhibition game at Auburn University?s new
Auburn Arena;
WHEREAS, the win was a great confidence boost for the CSU basketball program
and Coach Robert Moore;
WHEREAS, CSU guard Steve Peterson hit the game-winning jump shot with 15
seconds left to give CSU the victory;
WHEREAS, the accomplishments of the CSU Men?s Basketball Team at Auburn Arena
are worthy of special recognition by this Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA HEREBY RESOLVES:
We hereby commend and congratulate the following members of the Columbus State
University Men?s Basketball Team: Desi Prowell, Blake Zamudio, Isaac Joyner,
Jarmarquis ?Topp? Steverson, Lamar Williams, Bryant ?BT? Thomas, Philip
Spottswood, Anthony Smith, Michael Lawrence, Donta Ridley, Darius McKnight,
Steve Peterson, Andrew Houts, Paul Darkwa, Dimitri Davis, Jonathan Murphy,
Jeremy Grimball, Manager Ryan Sadler, Manager Dean Riley, Coach Robert Moore,
Coach Jim Hyneman, Coach Bentley Sparks, Coach Jon Griffin, and Coach Bruce
Hubbard. Columbus is proud of their accomplishments and we wish them every
success in the future. Let a copy of this resolution be forwarded to CSU Coach
Robert Moore.
