AN ORDINANCE REGULATING VEHICULAR TRAFFIC IN COLUMBUS, GEORGIA BY
DELETING FROM THE ?OFFICIAL STREET MAP, CITY OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA? THE STREET
SEGMENT AND RIGHT-OF-WAY OF SINGLETON AVENUE FROM THE EAST RIGHT-OF-WAY LINE OF
BENNING DRIVE EAST TO THE WEST RIGHT-OF-WAY LINE OF FT BENNING ROAD; PINTA
DRIVE FROM THE EAST RIGHT-OF-WAY LINE OF BILBO DRIVE EAST TO THE WEST
RIGHT-OF-WAY LINE OF FT BENNING ROAD; CIRCLE DRIVE FROM THE EAST RIGHT-OF-WAY
LINE OF BENNING DRIVE EAST AND NORTHEASTERLY TO THE SOUTH RIGHT-OF-WAY LINE OF
PINTA DRIVE; BILBO DRIVE FROM THE NORTH RIGHT-OF-WAY LINE OF CIRCLE DRIVE
NORTH TO THE SOUTH RIGHT-OF-WAY LINE OF SINGLETON AVENUE; PROVIDING THAT ALL
EXISTING UTILITY EASEMENTS OF RECORD REMAIN IN EFFECT AND PROVIDING APPROPRIATE
WIDTH AS REQUIRED BY THE APPLICABLE UTILITY COMPANIES WILL BE RESERVED FOR
UNKNOWN UTILITIES; AUTHORIZING THE DISPOSAL OF SAID PROPERTY TO THE COLUMBUS
HOUSING AUTHORITY IN EXCHANGE FOR NEW STREETS AND RIGHTS-OF-WAY OF THE NEWTON
D. BAKER VILLAGE REVITALIZATION PROJECT; REPEALING ANY CONFLICTING ORDINANCES;
AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I.
That the ?Official Street Map, City of Columbus, Georgia? is hereby
amended by deleting the following street segments and rights-of-way:
Singleton Avenue from the east right-of-way line of Benning Drive east
to the west right-of-way line of Ft Benning Road;
Pinta Drive from the east right-of-way line of Bilbo Drive east to the west
right-of-way line of Ft Benning Road;
Circle Drive from the from the east right-of-way line of Benning Drive east and
northeasterly to the south right-of-way line of Pinta Drive;
Bilbo Drive from the north right-of-way line of Circle Drive north to the south
right-of-way line of Singleton Avenue.
SECTION II.
That the street segment and right-of-way described herewithin Section I
is no longer needed for roadway purposes.
SECTION III.
That the street segments and rights-of-way described herewithin Section
I is hereby declared surplus property, authorized for disposal to the Columbus
Housing Authority in exchange for the new streets and rights-of-way of the
redeveloped Newton D. Baker Village project.
SECTION IV.
Providing that all existing utility easements of record remain in
effect and providing appropriate width as required by applicable utility
companies shall be reserved for unknown utilities.
SECTION V.
That all ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict with this
ordinance are hereby repealed.
