A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING A SPECIAL EXCEPTION TO OPERATE A PLACE OF WORSHIP
EXCEEDING 250 SEATS LOCATED AT 6714, 6720, AND 6804 FORREST ROAD; 6759 and 6763
MITCHELL ROAD.
WHEREAS, Liberty Hill Baptist Church has appropriately applied for a Special
Exception Use to operate a Place of Worship (in excess of 250 seats) on the
subject property;
WHEREAS, a Place of Worship Exceeding 250 Seats is permitted solely as a
Special Exception Use under the current SFR2 (Single Family Residential 2)
zoning district;
WHEREAS, the Planning Department has reviewed the request and recommends
Conditional Approval.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
That all the criteria of Section 10.2.7.B of the Unified Development Ordinance
has been properly met and a Special Exception Use to allow the operation of a
Place of Worship (in excess of 250 seats) is granted for the property located
at 6714, 6720, and 6804 Forrest Road; 6759 and 6763 Mitchell Drive.
? A special exception use is granted for the subject property with the
following condition:
Noise and smoke disclosure statements shall be included in any real estate
documents.

Introduced at a regular meeting of the Council of Columbus, Georgia, held the
26th day of August, 2014, and adopted at said meeting by the affirmative vote
