SUBJECT: Street Acceptance - that portion of North Ivy Park Drive and
that
portion of Wisteria Lane located in replat of part of Section One
Phase One, North Ivy Park
INITIATED BY: Engineering Department
Recommendation: Approval is requested for the acceptance of a deed to that
portion of North Ivy Park Drive and that portion of Wisteria Lane located in
replat of part of Section One Phase One, North Ivy Park.
Background: That portion of North Ivy Park Drive and that portion of
Wisteria Lane located in replat of part of Section One Phase One, North Ivy
Park has thirty-four (34) residential lots. The streets have been improved and
have met the specifications for acceptance by the City.
Analysis: A deed has been conveyed to the City conveying that portion of
North Ivy Park Drive and that portion of Wisteria Lane located in replat of
part of Section One Phase One, North Ivy Park. A description of the property is
as follows: All those certain tracts or parcels of land designated as: North
Ivy Park Drive and Wisteria Lane located in Replat of Part of Section One,
Phase One, North Ivy Park, all as shown upon a map or plat of Section One,
Phase One, North Ivy Park, Part of Land Lots 232 & 233, 19th District,
Columbus, Muscogee County, Georgia" as prepared by Hobbs Smith and Assoc.,
Inc., dated March 21, 2014, as filed with the Office of the Clerk of the
Superior Court of Muscogee County, Georgia, and recorded in Plat Book 164,
Folio 99.
Financial Considerations: No City funds are involved until maintenance is
assumed after the two-year warranty.
Projected Annual Fiscal Impact Statement: No City funds are involved until
maintenance is assumed after the two-year warranty.
Legal Considerations: In Accordance with Section 18-3 of the Columbus Code,
all dedicated right-of-way must be accepted by Council.
Recommendations/ Actions: Approve the acceptance of that portion of North Ivy
Park Drive and that portion of Wisteria Lane located in replat of part of
Section One Phase One, North Ivy Park.
A RESOLUTION

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A DEED TO THAT PORTION OF NORTH IVY
PARK DRIVE AND THAT PORTION OF WISTERIA LANE LOCATED IN REPLAT OF PART OF
SECTION ONE, PHASE ONE, NORTH IVY PARK ON BEHALF OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA.
WHEREAS, Columbus, Georgia has been submitted a deed conveying that portion of
North Ivy Park Drive and that portion of Wisteria Lane located in Replat of
Part of Section One, Phase One, North Ivy Park, a full description of property
on said deed; and,
WHEREAS, said street have been improved and meet the required specifications
for acceptance by the City; and,
WHEREAS, the Engineering Department inspected said streets and recommends
acceptance of same.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
That certain deed dated May 21, 2014, conveying to Columbus, Georgia, that
portion of North Ivy Park Drive and that portion of Wisteria Lane located in
Replat of Part of Section One, Phase One, North Ivy Park, and the same is
hereby accepted. The Clerk of Council is hereby authorized to have said deed
recorded in the Deed Records in the Office of the Clerk of Superior Court of
Muscogee County, Georgia. A copy is hereto attached and by this reference made
a part of this resolution.
