A RESOLUTION
No.
WHEREAS, the Northside High School Lady Patriots softball team recently came in
second place in the GHSA Class AAA state title held at South Commons on October
23-24, 2009;
WHEREAS, the Lady Patriots defeated teams from Richmond Hill, Mary Persons and
Heritage Catoosa to clinch second place in the championship;
WHEREAS, Northside finished the 2009 season with a outstanding record of 20-14;
WHEREAS, the accomplishments of the Northside High School Lady Patriots
softball team are worthy of special recognition by this Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA HEREBY RESOLVES:
We hereby commend and congratulate the following membes of the Northside High
School Lady Patriots softball team upon winning second place in the GHSA Class
AAA state championship: Susan Nickerson, Madeline Sievers, Casey Googe,
Jessica Hart, Tori Pierce, Erika Arroyo, Laney Brittingham, Haley Love, Kristen
Qualls, Taylor Caldwell, Karson King, Cheyan Odom, Haley Elver, Mary Beth
Wilson, Emily Hill, Iyhata Ladner, Assistant Coaches Leslie Hammock, Summer
Doucet, Keshia Whitmer and Head Coach Chera Riles. Columbus is proud of this
team and their accomplishments and we wish them every success in the future.
