I. MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING - GEORGIA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION:
Authorization is requested to execute a Memorandum of Understanding
with the Georgia Department of Transportation for $113,450 for repair and
rehabilitation of an existing storm drain on Victory Drive. An agenda report,

II. 2014 PROPOSED LEGISLATIVE AGENDA:
Authorization is requested for the approval of seven resolutions for
the 2014 Legislative Session of the Georgia General Assembly. An agenda report

III. STREET ACCEPTANCE - HADDONFIELD COURT, TAVISTOCK COURT AND THAT PORTION OF
WOODSTREAM DRIVE LOCATED IN RIEGEL POINTE PHASE:
Authorization is requested for the acceptance of a portion of
Haddonfield Court, Tavistock Court and portion of Woodstream Drive located in
Riegel Pointe, Phase II. The Department of Engineering has inspected these
streets and recommend the acceptance. An agenda report, resolution and map are

IV. 2012 HOMELAND SECURITY GRANT PROGRAM:
Authorization is requested to submit an application and, if approved,
accept a $50,000 grant, or as otherwise awarded, with no local match from the
Georgia Department of Homeland Security, 2012 Homeland Security Grant Program
for enhancement of the Swift Water Rescue Response program. An agenda report

V. 2011 HOMELAND SECURITY GRANT PROGRAM:
Authorization is requested to submit an application and, if approved,
accept a grant of $20,000, or as otherwise awarded, from the Georgia Department
of Homeland Security, 2011 Homeland Security Grant Program for maintenance of
equipment received as part of the West Central Georgia Search and Rescue Team
with no matching fund required. An agenda report and resolution are attached.

ADD -- On at the table --
Deputy City Manager David Arrington provided an update of JR Allen and Bradley
Park Drive Interchange. DOT agreed to fund these improvements and working to
have them completed before the holidays. Short Term solution will come back
with a long term solution after working with DOT.

1. Redevelopment Plan for Claflin School ? RFP No. 14-0002
Scope of RFP
The City of Columbus is requesting proposals from experienced, creative
architects, building and real estate development firms OR a philanthropic
individual or nonprofit group to present a redevelopment plan for adaptive
reuse of the Claflin School building that will be consistent with applicable
deed restrictions and preserve the historic site.

Scope of Bid
The work primarily involves clearing, grading, installing a MSBW along
riverbank, installing drainage pipe and structures, constructing concrete
sidewalk, brick pavers, steel railing, planting various landscaping items, and
installation of an irrigation system.

1. Sixth Avenue Passive Park Fencing Project ? RFB No. 14-0013
Scope of Bid
The work will include installation of 880 linear feet of cast iron decorative
fencing; an arched entryway and stone columns; and installation of 25 linear
feet of concrete sidewalk 8 feet from the existing sidewalk.
