RESOLUTION
NO.
WHEREAS, WTVM recently sponsored the eleventh annual Thunder on the Hooch 4th
of July celebration;
WHEREAS, the annual event draws thousands of citizens and visitors to
Columbus and Phenix City to celebrate our nation?s independence;
WHEREAS, hundreds of local musicians and vendors were present as well as
countless volunteers who make this great event possible;
WHEREAS, the spectacular fireworks show capped off the celebration in grand
style;
WHEREAS, this Council desires to express its appreciation to WTVM, General
Manager Lee Brantley and all the volunteers who participated in Thunder on the
Hooch 2009.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA HEREBY RESOLVES:
We hereby express our deep appreciation to WTVM, General Manager Lee Brantley
and the many volunteers involved in the 2009 Thunder on the Hooch 4th of July
celebration. Let a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Mr. Lee Brantley and
the volunteers.

11th day of August, 2009, and adopted at said meeting by the affirmative vote
