SUBJECT: Street Acceptance - Remey Drive, that portion of

Confetti Blush Drive, that portion of Show Time Drive, that portion of

Fashionata Drive and that portion of High Hat Drive located in Section

Four, Old Town, a Mixed Use Community



INITIATED BY: Engineering Department





Recommendation: Approval is requested for the acceptance of a deed to

Remey Drive, that portion of Confetti Blush Drive, that portion of Show Time

Drive, that portion of Fashionata Drive and that portion of High Hat Drive

located in Section Four, Old Town, a Mixed Use Community.



Background: Remey Drive, that portion of Confetti Blush Drive, that

portion of Show Time Drive, that portion of Fashionata Drive and that portion

of High Hat Drive located in Section Four, Old Town, a Mixed Use Community has

Twenty-six (26) residential lots. The streets have been improved and meet the

specifications for acceptance by the City.



Analysis: A deed has been conveyed to the City conveying Remey Drive,

that portion of Confetti Blush Drive, that portion of Show Time Drive, that

portion of Fashionata Drive and that portion of High Hat Drive located in

Section Four, Old Town, a Mixed Use Community. A description of property is as

follows: All those tracts and parcels of land identified as "Confetti Blush

Dr., Show Time Dr., Fashionata Dr., Remey Dr., and High Hat Drive" on the Plat

titled "Final Subdivision Plat for Old Town-Section 4" Lying in Land Lot 270,

19th District City of Columbus, Muscogee County, Georgia dated October 15,

2018, last revised November 15, 2018, by Harris Gray, LLC, recorded in Plat

Book 165, Page 336, Muscogee County, Georgia records.



Financial Considerations: No City funds are involved until maintenance is

assumed after the two-year warranty.



Projected Annual Fiscal Impact Statement: No City funds are involved until

maintenance is assumed after the two-year warranty.



Legal Considerations: In Accordance with Section 18-3 of the Columbus Code, all

dedicated right-of-way must be accepted by Council.



Recommendations/Actions: Approve the acceptance of a deed to Remey Drive, that

portion of Confetti Blush Drive, that portion of Show Time Drive, that portion

of Fashionata Drive and that portion of High Hat Drive located in Section Four,

Old Town, a Mixed Use Community.













A RESOLUTION

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A DEED TO REMEY DRIVE, THAT PORTION

OF CONFETTI BLUSH DRIVE, THAT PORTION OF SHOW TIME DRIVE, THAT PORTION OF

FASHIONATA DRIVE AND THAT PORTION OF HIGH HAT DRIVE LOCATED IN SECTION FOUR,

OLD TOWN, A MIXED USE COMMUNITY, ON BEHALF OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA.

WHEREAS, Columbus, Georgia has been submitted a deed to Remey Drive, that

portion of Confetti Blush Drive, that portion of Show Time Drive, that portion

of Fashionata Drive and that portion of High Hat Drive located in Section Four,

Old Town, a Mixed Use Community, a full description of property on said deed;

and,

WHEREAS, said streets have been improved and meet the required specifications

for acceptance by the City; and,

WHEREAS, the Engineering Department has inspected said streets and recommends

acceptance of same.

NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:

That certain deed dated December 3, 2018, conveying Columbus, Georgia, Remey

Drive, that portion of Confetti Blush Drive, that portion of Show Time Drive,

that portion of Fashionata Drive and that portion of High Hat Drive located in

Section Four, Old Town, a Mixed Use Community and the same is hereby accepted.

The Clerk of Council is hereby authorized to have said deed recorded in the

Deed Records in the Office of the Superior Court of Muscogee County, Georgia. A

copy of the deed is hereto attached and by this reference made a part of this

resolution.
