A RESOLUTION
No.
WHEREAS, Alan Scoggins of Columbus has recently been recognized by Georgia
Trend Magazine as a member of Forty Under Forty;
WHEREAS, Georgia Trend annually recognizes young Georgians who make a
difference through leadership and dedication to family, business, faith and
community;
WHEREAS, Mr. Scoggins is the Senior Vice-President of Skanska USA Building
Inc., one of the nation?s largest construction companies;
WHEREAS, Mr. Scoggins is active in Columbus, volunteering with the Greater
Columbus Chamber of Commerce and raising funds for scholarships at Columbus
Tech, and in Atlanta, where he served as chair of the 2009 Atlanta Heart Ball
raising more that $850,000 for heart disease research;
WHEREAS, the accomplishments of Mr. Alan Scoggins are worthy of special
recognition by this Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA HEREBY RESOLVES:
We hereby commend and congratulate Mr. Alan Scoggins upon being recognized as a
member of Forty Under Forty by Georgia Trend Magazine. Columbus is proud of his
accomplishments and we wish him every success in the future. Let a copy of this
resolution be forwarded to Mr. Alan Scoggins.
