SUB: Medical Center Hospital Authority
The Clerk of Council?s Office has received the resignation of Edward
Griffin on the Medical Center Hospital Authority.
The Council of Columbus must nominate three individuals for the unexpired
term of Mr. Edward Griffin from which the Authority will then select its member
from the list of three nominees.
Enclosed are biographical Sketches for Ms. Jennifer Horne, Mr. Robert
(Bob) Jones and Mr. Bob Koon. It is my understanding that the above listed
individuals would be nominated by members of Council.
The authority currently has one Senatorial District 15 representative and
eight Senatorial District 29 representatives. There is one woman serving on
this board. A copy of the current board members are included.
Please advise if there are any questions.

Meeting Date: Quarterly, January, April, July and October -- The 4th Wednesday of
each Month at 5 p.m. Medical Center Board Room
Charge/Mission: This board is responsible for the Medical Center. It has nine
(9) members which must be residents and qualified voters of Columbus. For each
vacancy, the Columbus Council submits a list of three eligible persons to the
Authority. From this list, the Authority itself selects one of the individuals
