WHEREAS, The Arthritis Foundation is sponsoring the 2010 Arthritis Walk in
Columbus on Sunday October 24, 2010;
WHEREAS, this year?s Arthritis Walk will be held on the RiverWalk behind the
Columbus Civic Center in the afternoon;
WHEREAS, the Arthritis Walk is the Arthritis Foundation?s annual nationwide
event that raises awareness and funds to fight arthritis, the nation?s most
common cause of disability;
WHEREAS, over 46 million men, women and children have doctor-diagnosed
arthritis and many are living active and productive lives thanks to new
treatments and medications;
WHEREAS, Blair Wooldridge of Fortson, Georgia, Development and Services
Coordinator for the Arthritis Foundation, is to be commended for spearheading
the 2010 Arthritis Walk in Columbus.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA HEREBY RESOLVES:
We hereby commend and congratulate Blair Wooldridge, Development and Services
Coordinator for the Arthritis Foundation, Southwest Georgia and her volunteers
for organizing the 2010 Arthritis Walk in Columbus, Georgia. Columbus is proud
of her work in this important public awareness and fundraising campaign and we
wish her every success in the future. Let a copy of this resolution be
forwarded to Ms. Blair Wooldridge.

12th day of October, 2010, and adopted at said meeting by the affirmative vote
