A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE COMMITMENT OF ADDITIONAL FUNDING TO THE BROWN AVENUE
BRIDGE PROJECT
WHEREAS, the Columbus Consolidated Government has a current budget of $500,000
set aside for the project to perform necessary maintenance and other
improvements to include replacement of the Brown Avenue Bridges; and,
WHEREAS, the Columbus Consolidated Government will commit to allocating
additional funds from SPLOST project savings and interest to the Brown Avenue
Bridges project until a funding determination is made by the Georgia Department
of Transportation to fund all or part of the project; and,
WHEREAS, the additional funding is estimated to be $5,500,000.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
That the City of Columbus agrees to commit an additional $5,500,000 to perform
necessary maintenance and other improvements to include replacement of the
Brown Avenue Bridges.
Introduced at a regular meeting of the Council of Columbus, Georgia, held the
______ day of __________, 2009, and adopted at said meeting by the affirmative
vote of ______ members of said Council.
