SUBJECT: Street Acceptance - That portion of Hollow Pine Drive located
in Section Twelve, Garrett Pines.
INITIATED BY: Engineering
Recommendation: Approval is requested to accept of that portion of Hollow Pine
Drive located in Section Twelve, Garrett Pines.
Background: That portion of Hollow Pine Drive located in Section Twelve,
Garrett Pines has (23) twenty-three residential lots. The street has been
improved and meets the required specifications for acceptance by the City.
Analysis: A deed has been conveyed to the City conveying that portion of Hollow
Pine Drive located in Section Twelve, Garrett Pines. A description of property
is as follows: That certain tract or parcel of land designated as, and which
is an extension of Hollow Pine Drive as shown on that certain map or plat of
survey entitled "Section Twelve, Garrett Pines, Part of Land Lot 159, 9th
District, Columbus, Muscogee County, Georgia" as prepared by Hobbs Smith &
Assocs., Inc. dated September 22, 2016, and recorded in Plat Book 165, Folio
107, in the Office of the Clerk of the Superior Court of Muscogee County,
Georgia.
Financial Considerations: No City Funds are involved until maintenance is
assumed after the two-year warranty.
Projected Annual Fiscal Impact Statement: No City Funds are involved until
maintenance is assumed after the two-year warranty.
Legal Considerations: In Accordance with Section 18-3 of the Columbus Code, all
dedicated right-of-way must be accepted by Council.
Recommendations/ Actions: Approval is requested to accept of that portion of
Hollow Pine Drive located in Section Twelve, Garrett Pines.
A RESOLUTION

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A DEED TO THAT PORTION OF HOLLOW
PINE DRIVE LOCATED IN SECTION TWELVE, GARRETT PINES ON BEHALF OF COLUMBUS,
GEORGIA.
WHEREAS, Columbus, Georgia has been submitted a deed conveying that portion of
Hollow Pine Drive located in Section Twelve, Garrett Pines, a full description
of property on said deed; and,
WHEREAS, said street has been improved and meets the required specifications
for acceptance by the City; and,
WHEREAS, the Engineering Department has inspected said street and recommends
acceptance of same.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
That certain deed dated February 20, 2017, conveying Columbus, Georgia that
portion of Hollow Pine Drive located in Section Twelve, Garrett Pines be and
the same is hereby accepted. The Clerk of Council is hereby authorized to have
said deed recorded in the Deed Records in the Office of the Superior Court of
Muscogee County, Georgia. A copy of the deed is hereto attached and by this
reference made a part of this resolution.
