I. 2017 PROPOSED LEGISLATIVE AGENDA ITEMS:



Approval is requested for the resolutions for the 2017 Legislative

Session of the Georgia General Assembly.





II. RIGHT OF WAY ABANDONMENT- PORTION OF REESE ROAD:



Approval is requested to delete from the "Official Map of Consolidated

Government of Columbus, Georgia" an improved segment of formerly Reese Road

between the south right of way line Milgen Road along the eastern right of way

line of Reese Road for a distance of approximately 250 ft, declaring it

surplus and authorizing its disposal in accordance with the City Codes.





III. MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING WITH MIDTOWN INC. FOR A MINIMUM GRID

DEMONSTRATION PROJECT:



Approval is requested to enter into a Memorandum of Understanding with Midtown,

Inc. for a Minimum Grid Demonstration Project to include bike lane signage and

re-striping along 13th Street from Cherokee Avenue to Delauney Ave on the north

side of the street and Midway Drive on the south side of the street, Delauney

Ave. to from 13th Street to 14th Street, 14th Street from Delauney Ave. to 13th

Avenue, 13th Avenue from 14th Street to Linwood Blvd., and Linwood Blvd. from

13th Avenue to 10th Avenue.





IV. CENTER FOR COMMUNITY PROGRESS - APPLICATION FOR SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM:





Approval is requested to apply and enter into an agreement with the Center for

Community Progress, and amend the Multi-Governmental Fund by up to $20,000 for

the local match requirement, to receive up to 400 hours of technical assistance

to assess, reform, develop, and/or implement systems to address large-scale

vacancy and abandonment within the community.

V. 2017 BROWNFIELD ASSESSMENT GRANT:



Approval is requested to apply, accept, and amend the Multi-Governmental Fund

by the amount awarded up to $300,000 from the Environmental Protection Agency

(EPA). The grant funding will be utilized to conduct a Brownfield Assessment of

the 2nd Avenue Corridor area. There will be no financial impact and no match

required.





VI. ESRI & LEICA SMART COMMUNITIES INNOVATION CHALLENGE: MOBILE GOVERNMENT

EDITION:



Approval is requested to apply for and if approved accept funds from the ESRI &

Leica Geosystems for the Smart Communities Innovation Challenge: Mobile

Government Edition in the amount of $14,325 for the purpose of supplying

governments with the tools to succeed as they implement progressive methods to

streamline workflows. The City is not required to provide matching funds to

participate in this grant.

Scope of RFP

Seeking to enter into a contract with a qualified Traffic Signal Contractor who

has the experience, expertise and necessary equipment to perform traffic signal

construction work on an ?as needed? basis. The term of this contract will be

for two (2) years, with the option to renew for three (3) additional

twelve-month periods.



November 16, 2016

1. Ready Mix Cement (Annual Contract) ? RFB No. 17-0009

Scope of Bid

Provide approximately one hundred cubic yards of ready mix cement on an ?as

needed basis? to be used by the Public Works Department of the Columbus

Consolidated Government. The contract period will be for two (2) year with the

option to renew for three (3) additional twelve-month periods. This bid will

be awarded to a primary and a secondary contractor.



December 2, 2016

1. Architectural, Engineering & Planning Services (Annual Contract) ? RFP No.

17-0003

Scope of RFB

Columbus Consolidated Government (the City) is requesting proposals from

qualified firms to provide professional architectural, engineering and planning

services on an as-needed basis. The contract term shall be for two (2) years

with the option to renew for three (3) additional twelve-month periods.



December 7, 2016

1. Tire Retread Services for City Buses (Annual Contract) ? RFB No. 17-0024

Scope of RFB

Seeking to enter into a contract with a qualified contractor to provide tire

retread services to the METRA Transit System, for City buses. The services

will be procured on an ?as needed? basis. The term of this contract will be

for two (2) years, with the option to renew for three (3) additional

twelve-month periods.
