These notices shall satisfy two separate but related procedural requirements
for activities to be undertaken by the Columbus Consolidated Government.
REQUEST FOR RELEASE OF FUNDS
On or about October 11, 2011, the Columbus Consolidated Government will submit
a request to Department of Housing and Urban Development/Georgia State Office
for the release of CDBG and HOME funds under Title 1 of the Housing and
Community Development Act of 1974, as amended, to undertake a project known as
Housing ? Citywide for the purpose of providing decent, safe, affordable
housing throughout Columbus, Georgia.
FINDING OF NO SIGNIFICANT IMPACT
The Columbus Consolidated Government has determined that the project will have
no significant impact on the human environment. Therefore, an Environmental
Impact Statement under the National Environmental Policy Act of 1969 (NEPA) is
not required. The Finding of No Significant Impact is valid for the same time
period as the City?s Consolidated Plan, July 1 2011 ? June 30, 2016 (FY 2012 ?
2016). Additional project information is contained in the Environmental Review
Record (ERR) at the Department of Community Reinvestment, 420 10th Street, and
