Response 07/28/06 - On October 23, 2001 Council voted to remove the Hilton
property from the proposed Wildwood Circle-Hillcrest district. On November 11,
the Council voted to remove Dick Norman's property and the Rothschild property
from the Peacock Woods/Dimon Circle. Prior to all of this action notices were
sent out, public notice placed in the newspaper and least four (4) public
hearings were held on these proposed districts. At each of the public
hearings, citizens were allowed to speak in favor or opposition to the proposed
ordinances, including the right to ask to be removed from the districts. At
the October 23rd public hearing, the City Attorney gave an opinion that it was
legal to remove certain properties from the proposed districts.
