AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE BUDGETS FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 2012 BEGINNING

JULY 1, 2011 AND ENDING JUNE 30, 2012, FOR CERTAIN FUNDS OF THE CONSOLIDATED

GOVERNMENT OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, APPROPRIATING AMOUNTS SHOWN IN EACH FUND FOR

VARIOUS ACTIVITIES; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA HEREBY ORDAINS AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1.

1. The General Fund budget in the amount of $150,830,110 for the fiscal year

beginning July 1, 2011 and ending June 30, 2012, is hereby increased by

$2,201,984 to $153,032,094 for the departments listed on the attached chart.

2. The Other Local Option Sales Tax budget in the amount of $39,092,796 for the

fiscal year beginning July 1, 2011 and ending June 30, 2012, is hereby

increased by $1,262,157 to $40,354,953 for the departments listed on the

attached chart.

3. The Medical Center Fund budget in the amount of $12,887,862 for the fiscal

year beginning July 1, 2011 and ending June 30, 2012, is hereby increased by

$735,148 to $13,623,010 for the departments listed on the attached chart.

4. The METRA Transportation Fund budget in the amount of $5,820,923 for the

fiscal year beginning July 1, 2011 and ending June 30, 2012, is hereby

increased by $2,075,132 to $7,896,055, for the departments listed on the

attached chart.

5. The Economic Development Authority Fund budget in the amount of $983,028 for

the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2011 and ending June 30, 2012, is hereby

increased by $120,617 to $1,103,645 for the departments listed on the attached

chart.

6. The HOME Fund budget in the amount of $1,557,761 for the fiscal year

beginning July 1, 2011 and ending June 30, 2012, is hereby increased by

$373,004 to $1,930,765 for the departments listed on the attached chart.

7. The Hotel/Motel Tax Fund budget in the amount of $4,960,000 for the fiscal

year beginning July 1, 2011 and ending June 30, 2012, is hereby increased by

$73,445 to $5,033,445 for the departments listed on the attached chart.

8. The Multi-Governmental Fund budget in the amount of $5,788,020 for the

fiscal year beginning July 1, 2011 and ending June 30, 2012, is hereby

increased by $455,426 to $6,243,446 for the departments listed on the attached

chart.

9. The Sheriff?s Forfeiture Fund budget in the amount of $120,000 for the

fiscal year beginning July 1, 2011 and ending June 30, 2012, is hereby

increased by $57,371 to $177,371 for the departments listed on the attached

chart.

10. The Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax Proceeds Fund budget in the

amount of $0 for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2011 and ending June 30,

2012, is hereby increased by $81,599 to $81,599 for the departments listed on

the attached chart.

11. The Columbus Building Authority Taxable Lease Revenue Bonds, Series 1999C

Fund budget in the amount of $450,000 for the fiscal year beginning July 1,

2011 and ending June 30, 2012, is hereby increased by $10,000 to $460,000 for

the departments listed on the attached chart.

12. Each budget increase provided herein is to be funded with fund balances and

various revenue sources of the accounting fund that is being affected by stated

actions.

13. Within the overall budget limitations, authority is hereby delegated to the

City Manager, or the Finance Director when acting on the authority delegated by

the City Manager, to effect such intra-fund transfers of appropriation and

revenue anticipation as may be deemed necessary to the effective performance

and delivery of services approved herein.

14. The minimum budget requirements set forth in O.C.G.A. Title 36, Chapter 81,

are hereby adopted.



SECTION 2.



All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with this ordinance are

hereby repealed.

held on the 27th day of November, 2012; introduced a second time at a regular
