SUBJECT: Street Acceptance - Campari Street, Punkin Street, that

portion of Frank Houser Avenue, that portion of Dreamboat Drive and that

portion of Massee Lane located in Section Two, Old Town, a mixed use

Community



INITIATED BY: Engineering Department





Recommendation: Approval is requested for the acceptance of a deed to Campari

Street, Punkin Street, that portion of Frank Houser Avenue, that portion of

Dreamboat Drive and that portion of Massee Lane located in Section Two, Old

Town, a mixed use Community.



Background: Campari Street, Punkin Street, that portion of Frank Houser

Avenue, that portion of Dreamboat Drive and that portion of Massee Lane located

in Section Two, Old Town, a mixed use Community has fifteen (15) residential

lots, and three (3) mixed use lots. The streets have been improved and meet the

specifications for acceptance by the City.



Analysis: A deed has been conveyed to the City conveying Campari Street,

Punkin Street, that portion of Frank Houser Avenue, that portion of Dreamboat

Drive and that portion of Massee Lane located in Section Two, Old Town, a mixed

use Community. A description of property is as follows: All those tracts and

parcels fo land situate, lying and being in the State of Georgia, County of

Muscogee and City of Columbus, in Land Lots 269 and 270, 19th Districts,

Muscogee County, Georgia identified as "Frank Houser Avenue, Campari Street,

Punkin Street, Dreamboat Drive; Massee Lane on Plat titled "Old Town Section

Two," Property Located in Part of Land Lots 269 and 270, 19th District

Columbus, Muscogee County, Georgia dated September 30, 2015" by Harris Gray,

LLC, West Point, Georgia, recorded in Plat Book 164, Page 290, Muscogee County,

Georgia Records.



Financial Considerations: No City funds are involved until maintenance is

assumed after the two-year warranty.



Projected Annual Fiscal Impact Statement: No City funds are involved until

maintenance is assumed after the two-year warranty.



Legal Considerations: In Accordance with Section 18-3 of the Columbus Code,

all dedicated right of way must be accepted by Council.



Recommendations/ Actions: Approve the acceptance of a deed to Campari Street,

Punkin Street, that portion of Frank Houser Avenue, that portion of Dreamboat

Drive and that portion of Massee Lane located in Section Two, Old Town, a mixed

use Community.













A RESOLUTION

NO. _____

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A DEED TO CAMPARI STREET, PUNKIN

STREET, THAT PORTION OF FRANK HOUSER AVENUE, THAT PORTION OF DREAMBOAT DRIVE

AND THAT PORTION OF MASSEE LANE LOCATED IN SECTION TWO, OLD TOWN, A MIXED USE

COMMUNITY, ON BEHALF OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA.

WHEREAS, Columbus, Georgia has been submitted a deed conveying Campari Street,

Punkin Street, that portion of Frank Houser Avenue, that portion of Dreamboat

Drive and that portion of Massee Lane located in Section Two, Old Town, a mixed

use Community, a full description of property on said deed; and,

WHEREAS, said streets have been improved and meet the required specifications

for acceptance by the City; and,

WHEREAS, the Engineering Department has inspected said streets and recommends

acceptance of same.

NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:

That certain deed dated October 2, 2015, conveying Columbus, Georgia Campari

Street, Punkin Street, that portion of Frank Houser Avenue, that portion of

Dreamboat Drive and that portion of Massee Lane located in Section Two, Old

Town, a mixed use Community and the same is hereby accepted. The Clerk of

Council is hereby authorized to have said deed recorded in the Deed Records in

the Office of the Superior Court of Muscogee County, Georgia. A copy of the

deed is hereto attached and by this reference made a part of this resolution.
