SUBJECT: Street Acceptance - Cimarron Court and that portion of
BridgeMill
Drive located in Section V, BridgeMill
INITIATED BY: Engineering Department
Recommendation: Approval is requested for the acceptance of a deed to Cimarron
Court and that portion of BridgeMill Drive located in Section V, BridgeMill.
Background: Cimarron Court and that portion of BridgeMill Drive located
in Section V, BridgeMill have twenty-seven (27) residential lots. The streets
have been improved and have met the specifications for acceptance by the City.
Analysis: A deed has been conveyed to the City conveying Cimarron Court and
that portion of BridgeMill Drive located in Section V, BridgeMill. A
description of the property is as follows: All those tracts or parcels of land
situate, lying and being in Columbus, Muscogee County, and being shown and
designated as and comprising all of "BridgeMill Drive" and "Cimarron Court" as
said streets are shown upon that certain map or plat thereof entitled "Section
Five, BridgeMill, Lying in Land Lot 261, 19th District, Columbus, Muscogee
County, Georgia," dated January 2, 2012, prepared by Moon, Meeks, Mason &
Vinson, Inc., and recorded in Plat Book 163, Folio 163 in the office of the
Clerk of the Superior Court of Muscogee County, Georgia.
Financial Considerations: No City funds are involved until maintenance is
assumed after the two-year warranty.
Projected Annual Fiscal Impact Statement: No City funds are involved until
maintenance is assumed after the two-year warranty.
Legal Considerations: In Accordance with Section 18-3 of the Columbus Code,
all dedicated right-of-way must be accepted by Council.
Recommendations/ Actions: Approve the resolution accepting a deed to Cimarron
Court and that portion of BridgeMill Drive located in Section V, Bridgemill.
A RESOLUTION

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A DEED TO CIMARRON COURT AND THAT
PORTION OF BRIDGEMILL DRIVE LOCATED IN SECTION V, BRIDGEMILL ON BEHALF OF
COLUMBUS, GEORGIA.
WHEREAS, Columbus, Georgia has been submitted a deed conveying Cimarron Court
and that portion of BridgeMill Drive located in Section V, BridgeMill, a full
description of property on said deed; and,
WHEREAS, said streets have been improved and meets the required specifications
for acceptance by the City; and,
WHEREAS, the Engineering Department inspected said streets and recommends
acceptance of same.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
That certain deed dated February 2, 2012, conveying to Columbus,
Georgia Cimarron Court and that portion of BridgeMill Drive located in Section
V, BridgeMill, be and the same is hereby accepted. The Clerk of Council is
hereby authorized to have said deed recorded in the Deed Records in the Office
of the Clerk of Superior Court of Muscogee County, Georgia. A copy of deed is
hereto attached and by this reference made a part of this resolution.
