Mayor- Perhaps too often, our City Council don?t receive the positive comments
from citizens and visitors who acknowledge positive impact from their decisions.
Many years ago, during an Intercity Visit to Richmond, we had several special
sessions during an afternoon and one of them was about their Skate Park. I
recall that Counselor Turner Pugh was in the session and got very interested in
learning from their experiences and when we got back, the interest is Columbus
having its own skate park was turned way up.
This letter which is attached is an example of a visitor who took the time to
express her thanks for the vision, leadership, and commitment that it took for
us to build our skate park.
Perhaps all the Council might like to receive a copy as a way of thanking them
and reminding them that in many ways, we all are making a real difference in
the quality of life for our citizens and also visitors!
