A RESOLUTION

A Resolution authorizing the sale of property which is a part of Redd Avenue

(formerly Reed Street) right-of-way lying and being in Land Lot 71, 8th

District, Columbus, Georgia (Section of 23rd Street between Hamilton Road and

North Avenue).



WHEREAS, the Columbus Consolidated Government has no current or future use or

of plans for said property;



WHEREAS, the City Engineer and Department of Community Reinvestment have

reviewed this property and recommend the sale of this property;



WHEREAS, the parcel of land being disposed of consists of 1,551.0+/-square feet

of right-of-way known as Redd Avenue (formerly Reed Street), at the agreed upon

price of $5,000.



NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA HEREBY RESOLVES:



That the City Manager is hereby authorized to execute a Quit Claim Deed

for the sale of said property for $5,000.00 to Columbus Healthcare Resources,

Inc., the adjacent property owner. This property was declared surplus and

deleted from the official street map by Resolution on September 8, 2009.

Introduced at a regular meeting of the Council of Columbus, Georgia held on the

9th day of March, 2010, and adopted at said meeting by the affirmative vote of
