(1) 2ND Reading - Property located at 1100 10th Avenue is proposed for rezoning
from LMI (Light Manufacturing Industrial) zoning district to GC (General
Commercial) zoning district. (1-A-09-Weathers) (Councilor McDaniel) The
proposed use is for a thrift store and storage. The Planning Advisory
Commission and the Planning Department recommend approval.
(2) 2ND Reading - Property located at 347, 348 & 361 Bragg Smith Street is
proposed for rezoning from RMF2 (Residential Multi Family 2) zoning district to
RMF1 (Residential Multi Family 1) zoning district. (2-A-09-Columbus Habitat for
Humanity) (Councilor McDaniel) The proposed use is for single family homes.
The Planning Advisory Commission and the Planning Department recommend
approval.

for Columbus, Georgia so as to amend certain sections of Chapter 3 of the
Alcoholic Beverage Ordinance of the Columbus Codes so as to correct certain
errors; and for other purposes.
(5) 2nd Reading - An ordinance amending the Alcoholic Beverage Ordinance for
Columbus, Georgia so as to provide for a new category of ?traditional
restaurant? with specific requirements for licensing and reduced distance
restrictions; and for other purposes.
(6) 1st Reading ? An ordinance amending the ?Official Street Map, City of
Columbus, Georgia?, by changing the Official Street Name, for portions of the
of public roadways currently designated as Abbott Avenue and Crockett Drive;
authorizing the replacement of existing street names with signs labeled North
Abbot Avenue, and East Crockett Drive. (Councilor McDaniel)
R E S O L U T I O N S:
(7) Property located at 600 2nd Avenue (SEU0901-1) is proposed for
special exception use in a HIST (Historic) zoning district. The proposed use is
for a Day Care Type III. The Planning Advisory Commission and the Planning
Department recommend approval.
(8) A hardship variance request to waive the minimum street frontage
requirement in order to divide lot into 2 tracts at 507F Biggers Road. The
Planning Department recommends conditional approval.
