A RESOLUTION
No.
WHEREAS, Trim Down Columbus Kick Off, a non-profit organization, was held on
Sunday, January 17th at the Columbus Civic Center;
WHEREAS, Columbus and the surrounding communities will be given a chance to
lead area residents on a path to healthier living;
WHEREAS, the Center for Disease Control has reported that over 67% of Americans
are overweight and the challenge from Trim Down Columbus is to lose 10,000
pounds;
WHEREAS, in addition to WLTZ, they will be welcoming NBC 38 TV Station?s
Biggest Loser reality show contestants Antoine Dove and Alexandra White;
WHEREAS, the Trim Down Kick Off will be providing tools such as (6) weeks
membership at one of the four Gold?s Gym, body analysis, weigh in program, a
kick off present of a Trim Down t-shirt and a carry bag filled with items, all
for only $5.00 per person;
WHEREAS, the Trim Down Columbus Kick Off is worthy of special recognition by
this Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA HEREBY RESOLVES:
We hereby congratulate Trim Down Columbus for challenging Columbus residents to
a healthier way of living. Columbus is proud of their accomplishments and we
wish them every success in the future. Let a copy of this resolution be
forwarded to Trim Down Columbus.

9th day of February, 2010, and adopted at said meeting by the affirmative vote
