Meeting called to order at 10:30 am
Open Remarks: Sam
Welcomed and thanked everyone for coming. Introduced new member Jonathan Smart.
Finance: Dale
Reports presented and reviewed.
Marketing: Robin
Sam complimented Robin on Thursday?s To Do section of the Ledger-Enquirer and
Television advertisements.
Ledger is starting e-mail blast.
Public skating season is winding.
Working on Spring Fling as well as upcoming events.
Operations Brian:
Started on summer building maintenance
Getting football carpet ready. Opening game March 27th.
Construction has started on Ice Rink.
Working with Robin on Bakery stand.
Sam- ask about capitol program. Brian- waiting for end of year. We did get a
new carpet cleaner and the beginning of the year.
Mildred- what is the amount of money the city gives the Civic Center? Dale-The
Civic Center is self supporting we do not get any money from the city. We do
get hotel and motel tax.
Mildred- is there any way we can get interviews to let the citizens know that
we are self supporting. Dale- we do let them know, we will do interview before
opening of the ice rink.
Box Office: Lisa
Following what Robin said we are working on Spring Fling along with other
events. Staying real busy right now.
Director Dale:
I went to Toronto Canada to the NHL Legends Hall of Fame game. We are trying to
get them here next year. We will also try to get the Stanley cup here.
Football kicks off this month.
Spring Fling will plant the seed to bring River fest back with arts and crafts.
Sam:
Encourage members to stop in to an event.
