COUNCIL MEETING OF NOVEMBER 10, 2015
TO THE CITY MANAGER:
AIRPORT ZONE:
At the conclusion of the City Attorney?s Agenda, a request was made for an
amendment to the ordinance pertaining to grocery stores within the zone. The
request was for the amendment to allow the sale of alcohol off-premises in
these particular zones. (Request of Councilor Thomas)

A request was made for a discussion to be held on the impact of such an
amendment. (Request of Councilor Henderson)

DISABLED VETERAN PARKING:
Mr. Marvin Broadwater, Sr. addressed the Mayor and Council on the Public
Agenda. During the discussion, Mr. Broadwater expressed his concern on the
education of officers as it pertains to the tags and signage used by disabled
Veterans to allow them to park in handicapped parking spaces. A request was
made for a memo to be sent out to all officers by the Chief of Police to inform
them of this information. (Request of Mayor Pro Tem Turner Pugh)

In addition to the referral made by Mayor Pro Tem Turner Pugh, a request was
made for the memo to be forwarded to the Mayor, so that she may send it to the
Councilors. (Request of Mayor Tomlinson)

TAX ALLOCATION DISTRICTS (TADs):
Director Rick Jones made a presentation on the City Manager?s Agenda on Tax
Allocation Districts (TADs). During the discussion, a request was made for a
detailed list of the properties, to include businesses that are currently
located within the proposed TADs. (Request of Councilor Thomas)

A request was made for an attendance record for the CIRCLE Commission.
