AN ORDINANCE CHANGING THE OFFICIAL STREET AND TAX MAPS OF THE

CONSOLIDATED GOVERNMENT OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA BY DECLARING A SEGMENT OF IVY

AVENUE RIGHT-OF-WAY SURPLUS; THE SEGMENT OF RIGHT-OF-WAY LOCATED NORTH OF THE

NORTH RIGHT-OF-WAY LINE OF TALBOTTON ROAD RUNNING NORTHERLY TO THE SOUTH

BOUNDARY OF ASHLEY STATION APARTMENTS AS DEPICTED BY THE ATTACHED MAP;

PROVIDING THAT ALL EXISTING UTILITY EASEMENTS OF RECORD SHALL REMAIN IN EFFECT;

PROVIDING APPROPRIATE WIDTH EASEMENTS SHALL BE RESERVED AS REQUIRED BY THE

UTILITY COMPANIES SERVING ADJOINING STREETS AND PROPERTIES FOR UNKNOWN

UTILITIES; AUTHORIZING THE DISPOSAL OF SAID RIGHT-OF-WAY IN ACCORDANCE WITH

COLUMBUS CHARTER; REPEALING ANY CONFLICTING ORDINANCES AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.





THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA HEREBY ORDAINS:



SECTION I.



That the ?Official Street Map, Consolidated Government of Columbus,

Georgia of Section 18.1 of the City Code? and appropriate Tax Maps are hereby

amended by deleting the following segment of Ivy Avenue:



An unimproved right-of-way segment located east of 1059 Talbotton Road

beginning at the north right-of-way of Talbotton Road and running north a

distance of 161.6 feet more or less to the south boundary of Ashley Station

Apartments.



SECTION II.



That the segment of right-of-way described here within Section I is no

longer needed for roadway purposes. Said segment of right-of-way is hereby

declared surplus and authorized for disposal in accordance with the Columbus

Charter.



SECTION III.



Providing that all existing utility easements of record shall remain in

effect and providing appropriate width easements shall be reserved as required

by the utility companies serving adjoining streets and properties for unknown

utilities.



SECTION IV.



That all ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict with this

ordinance is hereby repealed.





Introduced at a regular meeting of the Council of Columbus, Georgia

held on the ____ day of _______, 2013; introduced a second time at a regular

meeting of said Council held on the _____ day of ________, 2013 and adopt at

said meeting by the affirmative vote of _____ member of Council.
