An Ordinance amending the Zoning Atlas of the Consolidated Government of

Columbus, Georgia; this amendment changes certain boundaries of a district

located at 219 26th Street from RMF2 (Residential Multi Family 2) District to

GC (General Commercial) District.



THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY ORDAINS:



That the Zoning Atlas on file with the Planning Division of the Department of

Community and Economic Development be, and the same is hereby amended by

changing the following described property RMF2 (Residential Multi Family 2)

District to GC (General Commercial) District:



Tract 1:



All that lot, tract or parcel of land of land situate, lying and being in

Columbus, Muscogee County, Georgia and being known and designated as

Easternmost 26 feet 4 inches of lot 100 Seaborn Jones Survey of City Village,

as said lot is shown upon a plat recorded in Deed Book 52, Folio 162, a

reproduction thereto being recorded in Plat Book 18, folio 6, both in the

Office of the Clerk of the Superior Court of Muscogee County, Georgia, and

being located within the following metes and bounds:



Beginning at the Northwesterly corner of the intersections of 26th Street and

Third Avenue and from said point of beginning running thence Westerly, along

the Northerly Line of 26th Street, a distance of 26 feet 4 inches to a point,

running thence Northerly, parallel to the Westerly line of Third Avenue, a

distance of 128 feet 10 inches to the Northerly line of said Lot 100; running

thence Easterly, along the Northerly line of said lot 100, a distance of 26

feet 4 inches to the Westerly line of Third Avenue: and running thence

Southerly, along the Westerly line of Third Avenue. a distance of 128 feet to

the point of beginning.



Tract 2:



All that tract and parcel of land situate, lying and being in the State of

Georgia, County of Muscogee and City of Columbus, and being known and

designated as part of lot number one (100) of The Seaborn Jones Survey of City

Village, and more particularly described as follows:



Beginning on the North side of 26th Street at a point 26 feet 3 inches west of

the northwest intersection of said 26th Street and 3rd Avenue, and thence

running west, along the north side of said 26th Street, 45 feet. More or less,

to a point; thence running east 45 feet, more or less, to a point; and thence

running south 128 feet, 10 inches, more or less, to the beginning point.

Located thereon is House numbered 219 26th Street, according to the present

numbering of houses in the City of Columbus, Georgia.



The above-referenced property is being rezoned with the following condition:



The property shall serve as parking for office space.

Introduced at a regular meeting of the Council of Columbus, Georgia held on the

13th day of July, 2010; introduced a second time at a regular meeting of said

Council held on the ___ day of _______, 2010 and adopted at said meeting by

the affirmative vote of members of said Council.
