A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING A SPECIAL EXCEPTION TO ESTABLISH A PLACE OF WORSHIP IN
EXCESS OF 250 SEATS AT 4057 POPE ROAD.
WHEREAS, Spirit, Truth, and Liberty Ministries, Inc., has appropriately applied
for a Special Exception Use to establish a place of worship in excess of 250
seats on the subject property;
WHEREAS, a place of worship in excess of 250 seats is permitted solely as a
Special Exception Use under the current RE1 (Residential Estate 1) District;
WHEREAS, the Planning Department has reviewed the request and recommends
conditional approval.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
That all the criteria of Section 10.2.7.B have been met and that a
Special Exception Use for a place of worship in excess of 250 seats be granted
for the property at 4057 Pope Road.
A special exception use is granted for the subject property with the
following condition:
1. Smoke and noise disclosure statements shall be included in any real estate
documents related to the subject
property. Said disclosure statements shall be included as part of
this resolution.

Introduced at a regular meeting of the Council of Columbus, Georgia held on the
27th day of September, 2011, and adopted at said meeting by the affirmative
vote of ______ members of Council.
