A RESOLUTION APPROVING A SPECIAL EXCEPTION USE TO ALLOW A PLACE OF WORSHIP WITH
250 OR MORE SEATS ON PROPERTY LOCATED AT 10701 CHATTSWORTH ROAD.
WHEREAS, Dorothy Smith on behalf of S.T.A.R. Ministries has appropriately
applied for a Special Exception Use, to allow a place of worship with 250 or
more seats on the property described above; and,
WHEREAS, Places of worship with 250 or more seats solely as a Special Exception
Use under the current RE1 (Residential Estate 1) zoning district; and,
WHEREAS, the Planning Department has reviewed the request and recommends
approval.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY RESOLVES AS
FOLLOWS:
That all the criteria of Section 3.2.53 of the Unified Development Ordinance
has been properly met and a Special Exception Use to allow a place of worship
with 250 or more seats, is granted for the property located at 10701
Chattsworth Road.

Introduced at a regular meeting of the Council of Columbus, Georgia, held the
9th day of February, 2010, and adopted at said meeting by the affirmative vote
