Called Board Meeting Minutes
January 25, 2011
A Called Meeting of the Community Development Advisory Council was held at the
Government Center Annex Building, 420 10th Street, on January 25, 2011.
Members Present: Clementine Cochran, Andrea Franklin, Harold Funderburg, Sally
Haskins, Kim Jenkins, Charles McDaniel, Marvin Moore, Claudya Muller
Members Absent: Jose Cardona, Bradford Haines
CALL TO ORDER:
The meeting was called to order by Harold Funderburg, Chair. A quorum was
present. The Minutes of the December 14, 2011 Meeting were approved as
presented.
The Board reviewed and discussed the proposed budgets for the City?s CDBG and
HOME Entitlement programs. The budgets were for the year FY12 with funding to
begin July 1, 2011. Proposed funding was contingent on the amount of the
Entitlement received from HUD. A motion was made to approve the CDBG budget
with the understanding that if the CDBG Entitlement received from HUD is
$500,000 more or less than the prior year?s allocation the approved budget will
be brought back to the Board for review. There was a second to the motion.
The motion passed.
The Board reviewed and discussed the various programs proposed for the HOME
portion of the budget. A motion was made to approve the HOME budget as
presented with the understanding that if the HOME Entitlement received from HUD
is $500,000 more or less than the prior year?s allocation the approved budget
will be brought back to the Board for review. There was a second to the
motion. The motion passed.
The Board was updated on the status of the plans to develop the Five-year
Consolidated Plan and the Analysis of Impediments to Fair Housing (AI). The
Board was asked to attend a workshop being conducted by the consultants on
February 14. A notice will be sent as a reminder.

There being no further business the meeting was adjourned.
