SUBJECT: Street Acceptance - that portion of Foxhall Court
located in Section Four, Bridgemill
INITIATED BY: Engineering Department
Recommendation: Approval is requested for the acceptance of a deed to that
portion of Foxhall Court located in Section Four, BridgeMill.
Background: That portion of Foxhall Court located in Section Four,
BridgeMill has eighteen (18) residential lots. The street has been improved and
meets the specifications for acceptance by the City.
Analysis: A deed has been conveyed to the City conveying that portion of
Foxhall Court located in Section Four, BridgeMill. A description of property is
as follows: All those tracts or parcels of land situate, lying and being in
Columbus, Muscogee County, Georgia, and being shown and designated as and
comprising all of "Foxhall Court" as said street is shown upon that certain map
or plat thereof entitled "Section Four, BridgeMill, Lying in Land Lot 260, 19th
District, Columbus, Muscogee County, Georgia," dated June 16, 2014, prepared by
Moon, Meeks, Mason & Vinson, Inc., and recorded in Plat Book 164, Folio 126 in
the office of the Clerk of the Superior Court of Muscogee County, Georgia.
Financial Considerations: No City funds are involved until maintenance is
assumed after the two-year warranty.
Projected Annual Fiscal Impact Statement: No City funds are involved until
maintenance is assumed after the two-year warranty.
Legal Considerations: In Accordance with Section 18-3 of the Columbus Code,
all dedicated right-of-way must be accepted by Council.
Recommendations/ Actions: Approve the acceptance of that portion of Foxhall
Court located in Section Four, BridgeMill.
A RESOLUTION

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A DEED TO THAT PORTION OF FOXHALL
COURT LOCATED IN SECTION FOUR, BRIDGEMILL ON BEHALF OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA.
WHEREAS, Columbus, Georgia has been submitted a deed conveying that portion of
Foxhall Court located in Section Four, BridgeMill, a full description of
property on said deed; and,
WHEREAS, said street has been improved and meets the required specifications
for acceptance by the City; and,
WHEREAS, the Engineering Department inspected said street and recommends
acceptance of same.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
That certain deed dated August 4, 2014, conveying to Columbus, Georgia Foxhill
Court located in Section Four, BridgeMill, and the same is hereby accepted. The
Clerk of Council is hereby authorized to have said deed recorded in the Deed
Records in the Office of the Clerk of Superior Court of Muscogee County,
Georgia. A copy is hereto attached and by this reference made a part of this
resolution.
