An Ordinance amending the Zoning Atlas of the Consolidated Government of
Columbus, Georgia; this amendment changing certain boundaries of a district
located at 7042 Moon Road from RO (Residential Office) District to GC (General
Commercial) District.
THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY ORDAINS:
That the Zoning Atlas on file with the Planning Department is, and the same is
hereby amended by changing the following described properties from RO
(Residential Office) District to GC (General Commercial) District:
PARCEL ONE:
All that tract or parcel of land lying in and being a part of Land Lot 19 of
the 8th district, City of Columbus, Muscogee County, Georgia, and being Lot 102
containing 1.84 acres as per a re-plat of part of Land Lot 19, 8th district,
prepared by Moon, Meeks, Mason & Vinson, Inc., dated July 31, 2002, and being
recorded in Plat Book 147, Folio 11, Muscogee County, Georgia, records and
being more particularly described as follows:
BEGINNING at a 1? crimp pipe found at the southeasterly right-of-way miter
intersection of Moon Road (R/W Varies) and Stone Mill Road (R/W Varies) proceed
along said right-of-way mitered intersection North 30 degrees 01 minute 22
seconds East for a distance of 22.37 feet to a point lying on the southerly
right-of-way line of Stone Mill Road (R/W Varies); THENCE continuing along said
right-of-way of Stone Mill Road (R/W Varies) proceed South 89 degrees 58
minutes 51 seconds East for a distance of 168.31 feet to a point; THENCE North
03 degrees 33 minutes 36 seconds East for a distance of 11.46 feet to a point;
THENCE South 86 degrees 09 minutes 58 seconds East for a distance of 139.00
feet to a railroad spike found; THENCE leaving said right-of-way line proceed
South 01 degree 58 minutes 27 seconds West for a distance of 257.44 feet to a
1? crimp pipe found lying on the easterly right-of-way line of Moon Road (R/W
Varies); THENCE continuing along said right-of-way line of Moon Road (R/W
Varies), said point being the TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING, said courses and
distances being taken from a Boundary and Topographic Survey for Glenridge Moon
Rd., LLC, prepared by Landair Surveying Company, dated October 2, 2002, last
revised December 20, 2002, bearing the seal of Jon G. Adams, Georgia Registered
land Surveyor no. 2768.
TOGETHER WITH certain non-exclusive easements granted in certain easement
agreements as follows: (a) that certain Easement Agreement by and among
Glenridge Moon RD, LLC, a Georgia limited liability company, THE COLUMBUS
HOSPICE, INC. BUILDING ENDOWMENT TRUST, UNDER DATE OF OCTOBER 13, 1997, OF THE
STATE OF GEORGIA, COUNTY OF MUSCOGEE, AND DEVELOPERS ? INVESTORS, INC., a
Georgia corporation, dated January 15, 2003, and recorded in Deed Book 6656,
Page 270, Muscogee County, Georgia, records, and (b) that certain Easement
Agreement by and among GLENRIDGE MOON RD, LLC, a Georgia limited liability
company, THE COLUMBUS HOSPICE, INC. BUILDING ENDOWMENT TRUST, UNDER DATE OF
OCTOBER 13, 1997, OF THE STATE OF GEORGIA, COUNTY OF MUSCOGEE, and DEVELOPERS
? INVESTORS, INC., a Georgia corporation, dated January 15, 2003, and recorded
in Deed Book 6656, Page 284, Muscogee County, Georgia, records.

Introduced at a regular meeting of the Council of Columbus, Georgia held on the
12th day of May, 2015; introduced a second time at a regular meeting of said
Council held on the day of ___________, 2015 and
adopted at said meeting by the affirmative vote of members of said
Council.
