An Ordinance amending the Zoning Atlas of the Consolidated Government

of Columbus, Georgia; this amendment changes certain boundaries of a district

located at 3824 Steam Mill Road from SFR2 (Single Family Residential 2) zoning

district to RO (Residential Office) zoning district.



THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY ORDAINS:



That the Zoning Atlas on file with the Planning Department be, and the same is

hereby amended by changing the following described property from SFR2 (Single

Family Residential 2) zoning district to RO (Residential Office) zoning

district:



All that tract or parcel of land lying in Land Lot 119, Coweta Reserve,

Columbus, Muscogee County, Georgia, and being shown as Lot 501, as shown on a

plat recorded in plat book 162 page 188 in the Office of the Clerk of Superior

court of Muscogee County, being more particularly described as follows:



Commencing at a concrete monument at the intersection of the West right-of-way

line of Interstate Highway 185 with the South right-of-way line of Steam Mill

Road and thence run North 67 degrees 44 minutes 03 seconds West along the South

right-of-way line of Steam Mill Road a distance of 64.36 feet to a concrete

monument at the point of beginning; from said point of beginning thence run

South 01 degree 45 minutes 34 seconds East a distance of 320.48 feet to an iron

pin; thence run South 88 degrees 16 minutes 59 seconds West, a distance of

169.39 feet to an iron pin; thence run North 03 degrees 05 minutes 18 seconds

East a distance of 345.40 feet to an iron pin on the South right-of-way line of

Steam Mill Road; thence run along the South right-Of-way line of Steam Mill

Road along a curve to the left having a radius of 5759.65 feet an arc distance

of 140.00 feet to an iron pin; thence continue along the South right-of-way

line of Steam Mill Road South 06 degrees 50 minutes 55 seconds East a distance

of 13.57 feet to a concrete monument at the point of beginning. Containing

1.2055 acres.



The above-described property is being rezoned with the following conditions:



1. The property shall only be used for a Club/Lodge Membership Facility and

Non-Profit Scholarship Office.



2. If the subject property ceases to be used as a Club/Lodge Membership

Facility and Non-Profit Scholarship Office, then the Planning Division shall

bring a petition to rezone the subject property to SFR2.

Introduced at a regular meeting of the Council of Columbus, Georgia held on the

12th day of October, 2010; introduced a second time at a regular meeting of

said Council held on the day of , 2010 and adopted at said

meeting by the affirmative vote of members of said Council.
