I. ENTERPRISE ZONE TAX ABATEMENT ? VICTORY CROSSING APARTMENT:



Authorization is requested of a resolution for Ironwood Development, LLC,

Victory Crossing Apartment, L.P., located at 3390 North Lumpkin Road, to

receive tax abatement as allowed by law under the Enterprise Zone Act of the

State of Georgia. This project meets the criteria to be eligible for tax

abatement for residential projects. An agenda report and resolution are

attached.





II. WAIVING CERTAIN REQUIREMENTS FOR TEMPORARY USES OR SPECIAL EVENTS:



Authorization is requested to waive Section 3.2.63. C. and G.5.(A) of

the Unified Development Ordinance regulating temporary uses and special events

until January 1, 2007 in order to accommodate such uses during the holiday

season. An agenda report and resolution are attached.





III. STREET ACCEPTANCE - RIE COURT, ELLA COURT, CAROLANN COURT AND R C ALLEN

DRIVE:



Authorization is requested to accept a deed to Rie Court, Ella Court, Carolann

Court and that portion of R C Allen Drive located in Pierce Crossing. The

Department of Engineering has inspected these streets and recommends the

acceptance. An agenda report, map and resolution are attached.





IV. PURCHASES:



Approval is requested of items "A" thru "C":



A. Annual Maintenance and Support Agreement for the Oasis System

B. Landscape Material (Annual Contract)

Scope of RFP

Columbus Consolidated Government (the City) is seeking qualified consulting

firms to update the City?s Comprehensive Plan. The last update was completed

in 2003. The next update must be completed and approved by the Georgia

Department of Community Affairs no later than October 31, 2008.

1. Fire Hose & Accessories (Annual Contract) (Re-Bid) ? RFB No. 07-0027

Scope of Bid

Provide Niedner fire hose in sizes 5?, 3?, 1 ?? and 1?, as well as, hardware

accessories on an ?as needed basis? to be utilized by the Columbus Fire &

E.M.S. Department of the Columbus Consolidated Government.

Scope of Bid

Provide one (1) ? regular cab pickup truck to be used by the Special

Enforcement Division.

Scope of Bid

Provide one (1) fifteen passenger van to be used by the Muscogee County Prison

and one (1) ? ton AWD passenger van to be used by the Engineering Department.



3. 8 ? Foot Flat Dump Bed Body ? RFB No. 07-0031

Scope of Bid

Provide one (1) 8?-foot dump bed body to be used by the Rainwater Division of

the Public Services Department. The body will be placed on a cab and chassis

previously purchased by the City.



4. 7-Yard Dump Truck

Scope of Bid

Provide one (1) 7-Yard dump truck to be used by the Rainwater Management

Division of the Public Services Department.

Scope of Bid

The City is using an online Reverse Auction bidding process via AMT (Asset

Management Technologies) for the purchase of one fifty-five foot bucket truck.

2. Service Contract for Various Types of Engines (Annual Contract) ? RFB No.

07-0033

Scope of Bid

Provide repair/rebuild various types of engines to METRA Transit System on an

?as needed? basis. The contract period will be for two years with the option

to renew for two additional twelve-month periods.



3. Small Bucket Truck ? RFB No. 07-0035

Scope of Bid

Provide one thirty-six foot bucket truck to be used by the Traffic Engineering

Division of the Engineering Department to install and repair traffic lights

throughout the City.
