SUBJECT: Temporary Use or Special Event Permit for Dimensions Adventure
Zone
INITIATED BY: City Manager?s Office
Recommendation: Approval is requested to approve the request of Dimensions
Adventure Zone to have a Haunted House at 201 Brennan Rd for an additional six
days to end on November 4, 2018.
Background: Dimensions Adventure received authorization to host a haunted
house as a special event from October 5 ? October 29. The company would like to
extend the special event until November 4, 2019.
Analysis: According to the UDO Section 3.2.63, the Inspections and Code
Department can only issue a Temporary Use or Special Event Permit for seven
consecutive days. The City Manager may authorize one administrative extension
up to three days. The Council shall approve any event more than ten days in
length.
Financial Considerations: There are no financial obligations.
Legal Considerations: Council is eligible to grant permission for this
Temporary Use or Special Event Permit for a haunted house.
Recommendation: Approval is requested to approve the request of Dimensions
Adventure Zone to have a Haunted House for an additional six days to end on
November 4, 2018

A RESOLUTION TO RECOMMEND APPROVAL OF THE REQUEST OF WOODRUFF BROKERAGE COMPANY
TO HAVE A HAUNTED HOUSE UNTIL NOVEMBER 4, 2018.
WHEREAS, the Dimensions Adventure Zone is requesting permission to host a
Haunted house at 201 Brennan Rd; and,
WHEREAS, the Inspections and Code Department approves this request according to
our city code.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
The city council grant permission to the Dimensions Adventure Zone to host a
Haunted House at 201 Brennan Road until November 4, 2018.
