O R D I N A N C E S:
(1) 2nd Reading - REZN-02-15-0383 ? Properties located at 4806 & 4814
13th Avenue is proposed for rezoning from SFR4 (Single Family Residential 4)
zoning districts to RMF1 (Residential Multi-Family 1) zoning district.
(District 8-Councilor Buck) (Applicant David Fox) The proposed use is to build
seniors duplexes. The Planning Advisory Commission and the Planning Department
recommend approval.
(2) 2nd Reading ? REZN-02-15-0384 ? Properties located at 1617 & 1619
12th Avenue is proposed for rezoning from RMF2 (Residential Multi-Family 2)
zoning district to GC (General Commercial) zoning district. (District
7-Councilor Woodson) (Applicant Aaron & Clements, INC) The proposed use is for
an addition to Wade Linen. The Planning Advisory Commission recommends
approval and the Planning Department recommends approval W/Variance to maintain
zero lot line on 12th Avenue.
(3) 2nd Reading - An ordinance striking subsections 3-5 (c),(d) and (e) of the
Columbus Code pertaining to prohibited locations for alcoholic beverage
licensees in its entirety and replacing each subsection with new subsections
3-5(c),(d) and(e);and for other purposes. (Mayor Pro-Tem Pugh and Councilor
Davis)
(4) 2nd Reading - An ordinance amending Chapter 5 of the Columbus Code by
permitting veterinarian members to serve on the Animal Control Advisory Board
without regard to residency in Columbus; and for other purposes. (Mayor
Pro-Tem Pugh)
(5) 1st Reading - REZN-03-15-0490 ? Property located at 976 Lake Rushin
Drive is proposed for rezoning from NC (Neighborhood Commercial) with
conditions zoning district to NC (Neighborhood Commercial) with amended
conditions zoning district. (District 4-Councilor Pugh) (Applicant David Kelly)
The proposed use is restaurant. The Planning Advisory Commission and the
Planning Department recommend approval.
(6) 1st Reading - REZN-03-15-0602 ? Property located at 1211 Rose Hill
Street is proposed for rezoning from NC (Neighvorhood Commercial) zoning
district to SFR4 (Single Family Residential 4) zoning district. (District
8-Councilor Buck) (Applicant Amber Berg) The proposed use is for single family
residential dwelling. The Planning Advisory Commission recommends approval and
the Planning Department recommends approval W/Variance for a 45 feet lot width.
(7) 1ST Reading - REZN-03-15-0609 ? Property located at 7042 Moon Road is
proposed for rezoning from RO (Residential Office) zoning district to GC
(General Commercial) zoning district. (District 6-Councilor Allen) (Applicant
Woodruff Brokerage Company) The proposed use is CVS Drugstore. The Planning
Advisory Commission and the Planning Department recommend approval.
(8) 1st Reading - An Ordinance amending Ordinance #14-25, the budget for
the Fiscal Year 2015 beginning July 1, 2014 and ending June 30, 2015,
reclassifying certain positions of the Consolidated Government of Columbus,
Georgia; and for other purposes. (Budget Review Committee)
(9) 1st Reading - An ordinance revising Columbus Code Section
16B-1-3.2., which pertains to the hiring or rehiring of felons upon review by
an executive committee, implementing a hiring policy intended to encourage the
full participation of motivated and qualified persons with criminal histories
in the workforce, reduce recidivism and assure public safety, authorizing the
updating, revision and reissuance of certain personnel policies, and for other
purposes. (Councilor Barnes)
