A RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, EEOC Charge No. 410-2011-01131 is pending before the U.S. Equal
Opportunity Commission;
WHEREAS, the Columbus Council has discussed this matter with counsel
and has agreed to a settlement in lieu of further litigation or trial.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA HEREBY RESOLVES:
We hereby authorize the Mayor, City Attorney, Finance Director and the
Muscogee County Sheriff to make total payment of $26,393.80, including
$7,000.00 attorney?s fees, plus related retirement benefits and to execute a
settlement agreement between the Muscogee County Sheriff and Pamela L. Brown
and to comply with the terms thereof. The Mayor, City Attorney, Finance
Director and the Muscogee County Sheriff are authorized to execute all
appropriate settlement documents to this effect.
