district located at 3714 Willis Road from SFR2 (Single Family Residential 2)

District to RO (Residential Office) District.



(2) 2nd Reading - An Ordinance amending the Zoning Atlas of the Consolidated

Government of Columbus, Georgia; this amendment changes certain boundaries of a

district located at 1049 McBride Drive from SFR2 (Single Family Residential 2)

District to NC (Neighborhood Commercial) District.

(3) 2nd Reading - An Ordinance amending the Zoning Atlas of the

Consolidated Government of Columbus, Georgia; this amendment changes certain

boundaries of a district located at the southwest corner of Veterans Parkway

and Williams Road from SFR1 (Single Family Residential 1) District to GC

(General Commercial) District.



(4) 2nd Reading ? An ordinance regulating vehicular traffic in Columbus,

Georgia by enacting a No Parking Anytime zone to include the street

right-of-way along the north and south curbs of Standing Boy Road beginning at

the east curb of Big Eddy Road and running east to the west curb of Winthrop

Court; authorizing the installation of official traffic control signs

indicating No Parking Anytime with said restrictions; repealing any conflicting

ordinances and for other purposes.



(5) RESOLUTION - GRANT APPLICATION TO FEDERAL TRANSIT ADMINISTRATION

A Resolution authorizing to submit an application and, if awarded,

accept a grant in the amount of $135,000 or otherwise awarded, from the

Federal Transit Administration (FTA) for Federal Financial Transportation

Assistance under Title 49 U.S.C. Section 5316 and to contract with FTA on

behalf of the city should the application receive approval. An agenda report,

(6) Application of Antoine Raymond for a taxicab owner?s business license to

operate Eagle Taxicab Company, located at 1500 Morris Road, Columbus, Georgia

Three New Zoning Petitions:



(a) Petition submitted by Rob McKenna to rezone 1.4 acres of property

located at 2708 Warm Springs Road from SFR2 (Single

(b) Petition submitted by April Hocutt to rezone 0.30 acre of

Scope of RFB

Provide a truck with 12-foot flat bed dump body. The truck is a replacement

unit and will be used by the Parks Services Division of the Parks & Recreation

Department to transport tools and work material for jobs at the Riverwalk and

City owned parks.

Scope of RFB

Provide eight (8) sets of bleachers to be used by the Parks & Recreation

Scope of RFB

Provide sports apparel including: tee shirts, sweat shirts, polo

1. Columbus South Development Opportunity ? RFP No. 08-0025

Scope of RFP

The City of Columbus is seeking proposals for the purchase and development of

35.57 (+/-) acres of vacant land located off Cusseta Road and Fort Benning

Road. Over the past few years, this area has seen revitalization efforts that

helped improve the quality of life of the community by building new housing and

adding new businesses. Some of the housing developments include the Baker

Village Revitalization, which will create 244 new apartment units, and the

Ambling Development, which is anticipating creating 250 units. In addition,

several transportation improvements are underway, such as a proposed four (4)

lane widening of Cusseta Road, which will help alleviate congestion problems

and will improve access to the area.

1. Consulting Services for Historic Design Guidelines ? RFP No. 09-0001

Scope of RFP

The Columbus Consolidated Government is seeking proposals to update and

reformat the existing Design Guidelines used for approval of Certificate of

Appropriateness in the locally designated historic districts. This project does

not call for entirely new sets of guidelines. Instead, the successful

consultant will work with and refine existing guidelines creating opportunities

for interpretations that are more specific, color renderings, digitalization,

and other tools.
