WHEREAS, Mr. C. B. Ray, former employee with the Columbus Police Department,

died on June 3, 2010;

WHEREAS, Mr. Ray retired on May 1, 1973 after serving over 20 years with the

Columbus Police Department.

NOW, THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA HEREBY RESOLVES:

We hereby convey to the family of Mr. Ray our sincere condolences and deepest

sympathy. Mr. Ray was an outstanding employee with the Columbus Police

Department and he will be missed by all who knew him.

WHEREAS, Mr. Clifford Thomas, Sr., former employee with the Parks & Recreation

Department, died on June 5, 2010;

WHEREAS, Mr. Thomas retired on November 1, 2003 after serving over 33 years

with the Parks & Recreation Department.

NOW, THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA HEREBY RESOLVES:

We hereby convey to the family of Mr. Thomas our sincere condolences and

deepest sympathy. Mr. Thomas was an outstanding employee with the Parks &

Recreation Department and he will be missed by all who knew him.

WHEREAS, Mrs. Dorothy L. Bodiford, former employee with the Parks & Recreation

Department, died on July 12, 2010;

WHEREAS, Mrs. Bodiford retired on July 1, 1989 after serving over 26 years with

the Parks & Recreation Department.

NOW, THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA HEREBY RESOLVES:

We hereby convey to the family of Mrs. Bodiford our sincere condolences and

deepest sympathy. Mrs. Bodiford was an outstanding employee with the Parks &

Recreation Department and she will be missed by all who knew her.

Works, died on July 14, 2010;

WHEREAS, Mr. Reed retired on October 1, 2007 after serving 44 years with the

Columbus Water Works.

NOW, THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA HEREBY RESOLVES:

We hereby convey to the family of Mr. Reed our sincere condolences and deepest

sympathy. Mr. Reed was an outstanding employee with the Columbus Water Works

and he will be missed by all who knew him.
