C. Chairperson Adele Lindsey and Treasurer Herman Lewis met with Mayor

Tomlinson regarding the Public Works proposal for KCBC Staff to become CCG

Employees. During the meeting Mayor Tomlinson recommended that we contact CCG

Councilors individually to garner their support for the proposal. Gloria

contacted Councilors Huff, Davis, Thomas, Allen and Tom Buck. All of the

councilors except Councilor Thomas and Councilor Allen stated that they will

support the proposal. Councilor Gary Allen requested a state-wide report that

reflects the number of Executive Directors and staff that are City or County

employees. Councilor Thomas stated that she could not support the proposal

because the Council agreed to not hire additional staff. Councilor Thomas also

asked Gloria to encourage Pat Beigler, CCG Public Works Director to present the

KCBC staff proposal in their budget. Gloria stated that Sara Visser, KGBF

Executive Director, provided the following information: 68% of Georgia

Executive Directors are City or County Employees, and 53% of the 68% have

additional staff. Currently, more than 6 Councilors will support the proposal.

D. In regards to redefining KCBC if not approved, the alternative would be to

consider the number of staff members needed to staff KCBC.
